Celtics Club men and Bhubaneswar Athletic Association (BAA) women emerged champions in the 59th Nalco Cup Senior State Basketball Championship which was organised by Odisha Basketball Association (OBA) at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack from November 27 to 30, 2017.
Local club Celtics beat Ganjam District Athletic Association 67-59 in the hard-fought men’s final match, while BAA decimated Rovers Club, Cuttack 63-15 in women’s final match that turned out to be lop-sided contest. As many as 32 men’s and 12 women’s teams participated in the championship.
